Tours of Green Library
for Parents' Weekend, February 22-24, 2008

 

During Parents' Weekend, Feb. 22-24, there will be librarian-led tours of the Cecil H. Green Library (East and Bing Wings). Green Library is Stanford's main research library with collections in the humanities, social sciences, area studies, and interdisciplinary areas. Stanford's libraries have amassed collections of books, journals, scores and printed reference works numbering more than 8.2 million volumes. These collections continue to grow at a rate of roughly 98,000 volumes per year.

The days and times for the Green Library tours are:

Friday, February 22: 11:00 a.m. - 12 noon
Saturday, February 23: 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.
Saturday, February 23: 1:15 - 2:15 p.m.

Please meet in the Bing Wing Lobby of the Cecil H. Green Library. Michael Keller, University Librarian and Director of Academic Information Resources, will open the program with an introduction.
