The Committee (ISO/TC46/SC 9), which developed this draft standard and which
represents over 100 countries, is composed of the national standards organizations
of 21 countries including Canada, South Africa, the U.K., and the United
States.
The ISO/TC 46/SC 9 maintains liaison with organizations such as IFLA, ISSN
and CCE (Commission of the European Communities). The Secretariat for ISO/TC
46/SC 9 is provided by the National Library of Canada. The draft standard, ISO
DIS 690-2, should be published as an International Standard later
in 1996.
