Models from the Architectural Design Program

Spring 2014

This exhibition features ten architectural models created by students in the Architectural Design Program’s Intermediate Architecture Studio, taught by Allison Williams in the winter quarter of 2014. The students’ assignment was to propose a design for a future Architectural Design Program building--specifically, for a new graduate program currently being developed--to be located on a new site near Panama Street and Via Ortega. Their proposals are both practical and conceptual, suggesting not only the appearance but also the function and creative potential of a new space for a new program.

The show was curated by Veronica Stamats, a sophomore majoring in Architectural Design and a participant in the studio. It marks the second year that student architectural models have been exhibited in the Art & Architecture Library.
