New Ordering Specialist at Acquisitions Department

The Acquisitions Department is pleased to welcome Shani Braier Marcovitz as the new Ordering Specialist.

Shani will initially be responsible for ordering resources in the subject areas of East Asian Studies, Religious Studies, Psychology, Sociology, and Education. She will be assigned additional ones in the future.

Shani has an academic background in life sciences and ten years of experience as technical editing supervisor at Henry Stewart Talks, a UK-based publishing company producing online audio-visual lectures on biomedical and life sciences topics for medical schools, universities, and commercial enterprises. She is highly familiar with academic literature and data.

Shani has a master’s degree on Biotechnology Engineering from Ben-Gurion University in Israel. She also has a variety of language skills; she is fluent in Hebrew, knows basic Spanish, and has familiarity with Yiddish, French, and Arabic.
