Listed below are resources that may help you decipher the full title of a journal when you have available only the abbreviated journal name.

Lists

Searchable Databases

  • Genamics JournalSeek From the web site: “the largest completely categorized database of freely available journal information available on the internet. The database presently contains 75949 titles. Journal information includes the description (aims and scope), journal abbreviation, journal homepage link, subject category and ISSN.”
  • Jake A resource developed by the Yale University in which a user can enter the abbreviation for a journal (or just one word) and view the full titles that match. The “full” record also indicates which databases index the particular journal. [Has not been updated since early 2003.]
