Arts in Victorian Britain, The

Created by George P. Landow, Professor of English and Art History, at Brown University, England. Includes survey of Victorian art institutions, and information on design, painting, sculpture, illustration, architecture, popular arts, art criticism, bibliographies and related web sites.

A compilation of networked resources on art and architecture. The content is diverse and includes pointers to resources around the net as well as original materials submitted by librarians, artists, and art historians.

AskART

Art-market-oriented resource that supplies data about thousands of visual artists, historical and contemporary figures alike, including relevant dealers and museums, surveys of recent auction prices, reproductions of significant works, and bibliography.

Colección Cisneros

This multimedia, interactive website showcases more than 160 works from the Latin American art collection of the Fundación Cisneros (Cisneros Foundation), a Caracas-based philanthropic organization. The core strength of the collection lies in abstract art produced in Venezuela, Brazil, Uruguay, and Argentina from the 1930s to the 1960s, yet the collection also includes objects of Colonial Latin American art, international decorative art, and nineteenth-century Latin American landscapes executed in the traveler-reporter tradition.

Search Engine Watch
