Alfred University Art Images A meta-site of art image links produced by Alfred University Libraries.
AMICO (Art Museum Image Consortium) Library An online collection of digital images of works of art (paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, and many more genres) held at museums across the world. Covering prehistoric to contemporary times and cultures from Europe to Asia to the Americas.
ARTstor Providing over 300,000 digital images from diverse cultures and time periods including architecture, painting, sculpture, photography, decorative arts, design, and other elements of visual culture. Collections include works from the Carnegie Arts of the US Collection, MoMA's Architecture and Design Collection, the Huntington Archive of Asian Art, and more.
Bridgeman Art Library Features images from collections found in museums and galleries around the world, with coverage from ancient through contemporary periods.  Access through the Grove Dictionary of Art online.   
 Getty Center Artsednet Images and biographical information about artists geared towards a general museum audience.  Search by artists, title, and date.  Indicates where images can be found in print. 
 Google's Image Search A fine search engine for images.  Shows you the image and its context within a web page.  
Image Database for the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco Image database for over 110,000 objects found at the de Young and Legion of Honor Museums.
 Image Search Engines A listing of image search engines that allow you to search selected sites rich in images. Produced by Boston University Libraries.
 Medical Image Databases A paper by Nancy Scherer of the University of Michigan that reports on medical image databases on the World Wide Web. Also includes an annotated list of web sites containing medical images.
NAIL Homepage National Archives and Records Administration's (NARA) Archival Information Locator (NAIL). NAIL is the working prototype for a future online catalog of holdings in Washington, DC, the regional records services facilities, and the
Presidential libraries.
New York Public Library Digital Explore images including hundreds and thousands of prints, photographs, and maps from selected collections from the New York Public Library. This resource also includes In Motion: The African American Migration Experience, online exhibitions such as Seeing Is Believing and James Gillray, text sites such as Yizkor (Holocaust Memorial) Books, and moving image and sound recordings in Performing Arts in America, 1875-1923, the Louis Armstrong Jazz Oral History Project, and more.

 SILS Art Image Browser A database of art, architectural, and museum object images from four collections: University of Michigan Museum of Art Kelsey Museum of Archeology Slide and Photograph Collection, Department of the History of Art Los Angeles Chicano Murals, Private Photograph Collection, Susan Atkins. Produced by the School of Information and Library Studies, University of Michigan.
