Equipment & Computers
There are two regular self-service coin/card photocopy machines
which are operated by coin, bill, a Stanford Card Plan or a vend
card, located on the main floor in the Library. A microform reader/printer
is available for use in the library. Copy
charges vary.
There are three kiosk workstations available for accessing the
catalog on the main floor of the library. An additional kiosk machine
is available in the Map Mezzanine. Two kiosk stations require Stanford
ID for login/use. Printouts made from these workstations are $.10
per page; a Stanford Card Plan or a Vend
Card is necessary to use this service.
Specialized equipment available include: (Print prices vary by
apparatus; see below for details.)
- Two Windows and one Macintosh Workstations for accessing earth
sciences and map information received on CD-ROM. Stanford users
logon using Stanford ID, non-Stanford users will need to ask a
staff member for access.
- One self-help scanner.
- Large-scale black-and-white copier located on the Map Mezzanine.
Copies are $1.00 each cash only.
- One microfilm oil-well log reader printer.
- One plotter for use with the GIS machines or the map collection
only. A plotter for printing posters in available on the 3rd floor of Meyer Library. Plots on both machines are $45.00 each.

- Large format 42" full color scanner, 600 dpi resolution. Please contact Jane

The study room and the library carrels are provided with internet
connections for use with Roaming
DHCP. The library is also equipped for wireless
access.
