Strabonis Rerum Geographicarum Libri XVII: Graece et Latine, cum Variorum, Praecipue Casauboni, Animadversionibus, juxta Editionem Amstelodamensem.
Oxonii: E Typographeo Clarendoniano, 1807.
Acquired through the Stanford University Bookstore Fund.

This is the first edition of the Oxford Strabo, edited by Thomas Falconer (1772-1839). Falconer brought together the work of several previous scholars including his own uncle, Thomas Falconer, (1738-1792), to produce this monumental two-volume edition of Strabo (63 or 64 BC-ca. 24 AD), which provides the only extant description of the peoples and countries of the Mediterranean region in the early first century AD.
