John Milton.

Paradise Lost: a Poem in Twelve Books.
The fifth edition, adorn'd with sculptures.
London: Printed for Richard Bently...and Jacob Tonson..., 1691.
Acquired through the Stanford University Bookstore Fund.

This edition represents a close re-printing of the 1688 edition through the first eleven books of the poem, with some but not all typographical errors corrected; the illustrations in this edition are from the plates used for illustrating the 1688 edition. This is a rare edition, one of the most elusive -of the seventeenth-century editions of Paradise Lost.
