The Digital Library Systems and Services and Stanford University Press have initiated an ongoing collaborative effort to digitize all titles in print that have been published by the SU Press. DLSS will digitize titles using the library’s robotic page-turning scanner, and its supporting hardware and software system. As part of the digitization process, DLSS staff will create preservation-quality master TIFF images, searchable PDF surrogates, and complete descriptive and administrative metadata. The resulting e-books will ultimately be made available by the Press and its online distributors.
