Equipment & Computers
Computers
The library offers seven computers; five require SUNet ID and two are public. A scanner is connected to one public workstation. All are connected to SUNet, have DVD readers, and are connected to black-&-white and color laser printers. Payment for printing is required via the Stanford Card Plan or a copy card. Computers for work processing are not available in Falconer Library.
Network connections
Wireless network access is available throughout
the library. One physical network connection is available in the
computer area. All network connections are available only to persons
with a SUNet ID.
Photocopy Equipment
Two self-service photocopiers are available. Copiers accept coins, $1 and $5 bills, copy cards, or Stanford ID cards with value added for use in the copiers. Falconer Biology Library does not have a copy card dispenser.
The nearest locations for obtaining a photocopy card or for adding
value to an existing Stanford Card Plan account are in the Mathematical
and Computer Sciences Library and Swain Library of Chemistry and
Chemical Engineering. Other locations and more information can be found at http://www-sul.stanford.edu/services/photocopying.html
The Department of Biological Sciences phototocopy
service is administered through the Department of Biological Sciences, but it is located in the library. The service can be used to copy
library materials for those who have an account in the Stanford Financial System.
