ArcEditor Installation Instructions

* Prerequisites: You must have the have the registration numbers ready and a working Internet connection in order to register this product after installing.

1. Remove any previous versions of ArcGIS from your computer and delete the contents of the 'C:\arcgis' folder (if applicable).

2. Make sure you meet all system requirements.

3. Double click to unzip 'ArcEditor.zip', and extract the files (about 5 minutes).

4. Run 'Setup.exe'.

5. Click 'Next', read and accept the license agreement and click 'Next' again.

Note: If the setup program prompts, update Microsoft system files and allow the setup program to reboot your system. Remember to login using the same username and password as before. If the installer doesn't start up automatically, run "Setup.exe" again.

6. Choose the "Complete" installation option - installs all extensions and programming capabilities (about 20 minutes).

7. Continue pressing 'Next' until the installation is complete.

8. You will have the option of installing a number of extras. Check the boxes you wish to install and click 'Next'.

9. Select Register to connect to the ESRI website and register the product using these codes.

Note: ArcGIS 9.2 Service Pack 3 at the ESRI website is available. This pack will improve performance and contains maintenance fixes. Please install at your earliest convenience.
