Finding Data Sets &
Codebooks in Socrates
The Stanford University Libraries have acquired a large collection
of data sets and printed codebooks from many sources that can be
searched in Socrates. You should limit your search to "electronic
resources" records. Although many datasets now come with only
electronic format codebooks, the Socrates "Details" record
will indicate if SSDS has a print copy of a dataset's codebook,
as well as its location and call number. Printed codebooks located
in the Green Library with a STACKS location designation
can be checked out. Codebooks located in the Green Library with
the SSRC-SSDS location designation are non-circulating
and are shelved in The Velma Denning Room.
