Limited Service Details

The following services will be limited or unavailable during the winter break (December 16 - January 1):

• From December 15 through January 1 Socrates will be available for searching only. Request links for recalls, paging, etc. in Socrates will be unavailable.
• From 6:30 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2006 through January 1, 2007, paging and online requests for On-Order and In-Process materials will be unavailable.
• Searches for missing item will be unavailable
• Interlibrary loan and document delivery: RLCP (Research Library Cooperative Program) will be unavailable from Thursday, December 14, 2006 - Tuesday, January 2, 2007.
• Interlibrary Borrowing and Interlibrary Lending will be unavailable from Monday, December 11, 2006 - Monday, January 2, 2007. RLCP and Interlibrary Services will resume on Wednesday, January 3, 2007.
• We will not be paging items from the Stanford Auxiliary Libraries (SAL1&2, SAL3, or SAL-Newark), or Hopkins; nor will we be processing recalls, holds, or searches for this period.

Green Library will be open December 18-22 & 27-29, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. with these limited services:

• The Loan Desk will be open. Privileges will not be open. Those wishing to use the government depository collections may sign in at the Green East entrance (near the red hoop fountain).
• The Information Center Desk and offices will be closed. We will provide only limited email reference and there will be no processing of interlibrary requests for the entire period.
• The Media Microtext Center will be open.
• The Raubitschek and Medieval Studies Rooms will be open.
• The Velma Denning Room and SSRC reception desk will be closed.
• The Social Sciences, Humanities & Area Studies offices will be closed. Curators, subject specialists, and most library staff will not be available for consultation.
• With the exception of the closed areas, all space, collections, and computers will be available; however, we will not be shelving new materials or reshelving materials.

Branch Libraries - For those branch libraries that will be open, their circulation desks will be open for borrowing only. Reference help, searches for missing items, and reshelving of materials will vary at each branch and will be handled as local staffing permits.  Services for holds, recalls, and course reserves will resume on January 2, 2007. Interlibrary loan, RLCP, and document delivery services will resume on January 3, 2007.

Stanford Auxiliary Libraries (SAL1&2, SAL3, and SAL-Newark) - There will be no paging December 16-January 1, 2007.
