Book stacks

In February of this year, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) published a memo directing federal science agencies “to develop plans to make the published results of federally funded research freely available to the public within one year of publication … Such results include peer-reviewed publications and digital data.” Funding agency responses to this directive could dramatically change the process of scientific information exchange and fundamentally alter how scientific research is performed and archived at US universities and government laboratories.

Library system upgrade.

SUL Library Systems will upgrade Symphony to the latest SirsiDynix release, Symphony 3.4.1 SP3, during the period June 21-22.

During the upgrade, WorkFlows, Socrates and My Account functionality will be unavailable. SearchWorks will still be available throughout the upgrade, however request links and availability status will not be functioning.
