HighWire joins CHORUS, supporting publishers' efforts to facilitate public access to federally funded research

You are cordially invited to join the Art staff for a tour of the new Bowes Art & Architecture Library in the McMurtry Art & Art History building. This building is the home of  both the Library and the Department of Art and Art History, and serves as an interdisciplinary hub for the arts at Stanford.

The 49th California International Antiquarian Book Fair, hosting over 200 booksellers from around the world, will take place at the Pasadena Convention Center, 12-14 February. One of the world's largest and most prestigious exhibitions of antiquarian books, the fair alternates annually between venues in Oakland and Pasadena.

Liisi Esse, assistant curator for Estonian and Baltic Studies, reported in The Baltic Course: “The collection of Baltic books, periodicals and manuscripts of Stanford University Libraries (SUL) has grown significantly during the past couple of years. This, as well as the creation of the first-ever Baltic curator position in the U.S. academic libraries, has been enabled by the 2011 Kistler Ritso Foundation’s endowment to SUL, and the foundation’s continuous support towards enhancing the Baltic studies.
