Dan-el Padilla Peralta, who submitted a dissertation on Roman Republican religion and received his PhD in Ancient History at Stanford in 2014, has written his autobiography, Undocumented: A Dominican Boy's Odyssey From a Homeless Shelter to the Ivy League, forthcoming in July from Penguin Press, which describes the book as "a classic story of the triumph of the human spirit. It also is the perfect cri de coeur for the debate on comprehensive immigration reform."

As part of the University’s efforts to increase computing security, Stanford has mandated that all faculty, staff, and postdoc Windows and Apple computers be encrypted. This encryption protects access to University and personal data in the case that computers are lost or stolen.
