The Stanford University Libraries have partnered with Eastside College Preparatory School to provide paid summer internships to local aspiring 1st-generation college students.  The goal of our program is to provide the interns with paid job experience while exposing them to key aspects of college life, especially the role of libraries in student success. Our vision is to create successful students who love libraries!

Governor Jerry Brown

Stanford University Press and the Stanford Libraries are pleased to invite you to an event with the Governor of California inspired by Jean-Pierre Dupuy's The Mark of the Sacred. Dupuy's reflections on nuclear deterrence will be explored by a group of expert panelists including the author himself and Professors Martin E. Hellman and David Holloway. The discussion will be moderated by Jon Christensen, Journalist-in-Residence and Senior Researcher at UCLA's Institute of the Environment and Sustainability.
