University Human Resources 2016 Winter Closure Checklist in the Cardinal at Work newsletter.

When the holidays roll around, days not only feel shorter but our lives also seem to get busier. To help you manage the hustle and bustle of December, we’ve prepared this checklist of recommended actions to complete before and immediately after 2016 winter closure.

The 2016 winter closure is scheduled Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016 through Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017, for those areas designated to close. Regular operations resume on Wednesday, January 4, 2017. The following dates have been designated as university holidays:

  • Friday, December 23, 2016
  • Monday, December 26, 2016
  • Monday, January 2, 2017

With the merger of Falconer Biology Library, the Mathematics & Statistics Library, and Swain Library of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, we look forward to the opening of the Robin Li and Melissa Ma Science Library in January 2017.

The Stanford Libraries will be operating on a reduced schedule during Winter Intersession and during the Stanford Winter Closure period.

Closures and reduced library hours for:
December 18-24, 2016
December 25-31, 2016
January 1-7, 2017

A few libraries will be open reduced hours on January 3. All libraries will resume regular hours on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, with the exception of the new Robin Li and Melissa Ma Science Library, which will open January 9, 2017. See the library hours for the week of January 1-7, 2017 for details.

If you will be away from campus during the holiday period, remember to set up your browser for off-campus access to library resources.
