SUL Rosette

Liisi Esse, assistant curator for Estonian and Baltic Studies, reported in The Baltic Course: “The collection of Baltic books, periodicals and manuscripts of Stanford University Libraries (SUL) has grown significantly during the past couple of years. This, as well as the creation of the first-ever Baltic curator position in the U.S. academic libraries, has been enabled by the 2011 Kistler Ritso Foundation’s endowment to SUL, and the foundation’s continuous support towards enhancing the Baltic studies.

2015 Holiday program cover art

On December 16, 2015, SUL staff gathered at the Schwab Center to enjoy good food and toast the year's accomplishments. The holiday party also provided an opportunity for University Librarian Michael Keller to recognize staff celebrating employment anniversaries.

For many years, the Mathematics & Computer Sciences Library, and later the Mathematics & Statistics Library, maintained a collection of Collected Works in Mathematics and Statistics.  When the Mathematics & Statistics Library merged with Falconer Biology Library in 2014, the Collected Works collection comprised approximately 1,000 items and nearly 400 titles.

Ronnie Fields

Ronnie Fields has taken a new position with University IT and his last day at SUL will be Friday, December 18, 2015. This is a great opportunity for a very deserving person!
