Please join me in welcoming Raina Phillips as SUL Facilities newest addition as our third Facilities Coordinator in the group joining Jacob Cohen and Chito Cuenco. Raina started working for us in September 2013 so you have probably seen her around our various libraries. Raina has been working on campus since 2001 with experience in facilities management working with the Music Department, BGM and Graduate Housing.

The School of Library and Information Science at San Jose State University (SJSU) is now offering current and future information professionals the opportunity to enroll in one or more fully online, graduate-level courses, and earn college credit.

The i.School Open Classes program offers more than 60 of the school's electives to information professionals who want to update their skills, position themselves for leadership opportunities, explore emerging trends, and learn more about how to use the latest technology to better serve clients.

Wikipedia’s Jake Orlowitz, a content editor and administrator, will be speaking on a wide range of issues relating to Wikipedia, the immensely popular and enormous web-based “encyclopedia.”  Topics will include: scale and scope; neutrality and debate; verification of information; bias; content gaps, and more.
