Yoga in Green Library continues on Monday (noon, code: glym-01), Wednesday (5:15 pm, code: glyw-01) and Friday (noon: glyf-01). (Note: The Wednesday 5:15pm class will begin one week later on April 10 and finish one week later on June 19.) Hattie Bluestone returns after her quarter off as the Monday instructor and Dina continues as the Wednesday and Friday instructor.

The days of the teacher sitting behind the desk or standing at the blackboard are numbered because of technological advances that have detached the instructor from the desk. One device that is leading the charge in untethering teachers is the Apple TV.

Are you a librarian superhero? Gale and Cengage Learning are honoring four outstanding librarians nominated for the Librarian Superhero contest.

Lauren Maggio of Lane Medical Library was selected as the Academic Librarian Superhero this year. Lauren (aka Access) was nominated for her work with medical students, faculty, and residents, plus her leadership role in global health information literacy.

"Third-party option key"

On April 10, three Stanford librarians — Chris Bourg, AUL for Public Services (PhD in Sociology); Matt Marostica, Subject Specialist for Economics and Political Science (PhD in Political Science); and Regan Murphy Kao, Japanese Studies Librarian (PhD in Japanese) — will talk to Stanford graduate students about their experiences moving from PhD programs into library work.
