SUL Rosette

From the Stanford Report, “Stanford doctoral candidate Adrienne Rose Johnson says contemporary diet advice idealizes lifestyles of the past in ways that contribute to global health problems. Johnson's study is the first academic analysis of diet literature.”  In 2013, Johnson’s essay entitled "Collecting the Commonplace: The Promises of American Diet Literature" was awarded one of the Byra J. and William P. Wreden Prizes for Collecting Books and Related Materials, administered by the Stanford Libraries.

Julie Sweetkind-Singer

Julie Sweetkind-Singer, assistant director of Geospatial, Cartographic and Scientific Data & Services and head of the Branner Earth Sciences Library & Map Collections, published a convenient list of maps digitized and made available online by the Stanford Libraries.  The same resources were discussed in her recent talks at the 2016 Miami International Map Fair and at San Francisco's Roxburghe Club.
