SUL is pleased to welcome the Lathrop Cupboard Café to its home in Lathrop Library. We invite you to visit the café on Tuesday, February 14th for the grand opening festivities. Stop by any time during the day to celebrate Lathrop Cupboard Café's opening as well as Valentine’s Day! Free cake pops will be available to the first 500 visitors!
The Lathrop Cupboard Café is currently open 8am to 4pm, Monday through Thursday and 8am to 3pm on Friday. The café offers an extensive menu, which includes: soups, rice bowls, classic paninis and grab-and-go sandwiches, a full coffee bar, and a fine selection of pastries prepared daily by Chef Chona Piumarta.
Chef Chona has worked as Executive Pastry Chef at The Slanted Door in San Francisco, opening Pastry Chef for Bradley Ogden’s Lark Creek Steak in San Francisco, the Executive Pastry Chef at Restaurant Lulu in San Francisco, and the Pastry Chef at The Plumed Horse in Saratoga. Most recently she has been running her own restaurant, The Pastry Cupboard in San Francisco. We’re thrilled to have her talent, and especially her pastries, here on campus.
The café is located in the basement of Lathrop Library, and can be accessed either through the stairs in the 24 hour study room or via the elevators on the north side of the building.
We look forward to seeing you!
