In an article featured in The Dish, the University Archives was recently acknowledged for its Stanford Alumni Legacy Project. Begun in 2014, the project focuses on collecting, preserving, and providing long-term access to student materials created by Stanford alumni during their time at Stanford.
In collaboration with the University archives, Stanford alumna Alison Carpenter Davis was able to tap into this resource, which aided her in writing her book, Letters Home from Stanford. The book is a collection of letters, emails, and texts sent from Stanford students to their family and friends back home.
