Bridget Ruth Whearty

Postdoctoral Fellow in Data Curation for Medieval Studies

As a Council of Libraries and Information Resources (CLIR) Postdoctoral Fellow, I study digital medieval manuscripts in Digital Library Systems and Services (DLSS) and in the Department of English. In both positions, I'm working to make digital medieval manuscripts more useful and accessible for research and teaching.

In DLSS, I'm part of a team building an interoperable, multi-repository index of 10,000 digitized medieval manuscripts. I've also organized a medieval manuscript club for students interested in getting hands-on experience transcribing, reading, and studying Stanford's collections.
