Patricia's role in the library
My main role is to support the entire Campus in geospatial instruction and research. My specialty is in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), but I also support GPS and Google mapping technologies (Google Earth, Fusion Tables).
I work with an extraordinary group of students that provides GIS Services at Branner Earth Sciences Library. Together we teach over 100 workshops on GIS every year that are free to the Stanford community.
From the brand-new user to GIS to the experienced researcher, we support students, faculty, and staff in any aspect of GIS with instruction and consultation services.
