The exhibition project is a visual story about the picture of the Russian world in Chekhov's plays "Uncle Vanya", "The Seagull", "Three Sisters" and "The Cherry Orchard". The exhibition is based on the new chronology of Chekhov's plays and opens with “scenes from village life”. The play "Uncle Vanya" gives rise to themes, motives, situations, symbolic images that will develop in the next author's plays and end in the landscape play "The Cherry Orchard". The Power of the Garden is a journey through the unified artistic space of the Chekhov Quartet, organized as a system of rooms in a large house, each of which is dedicated to a specific play and its characters. The main idea of the exhibition is the immortality of the cherry orchard and the play "The Cherry Orchard". The exposition consists of exhibits of two types. The first one is works of art: sketches, drawings, models, posters, costumes, memorial items. The second type of exhibits is photographic documentation of performances. This is a gallery of portraits of actors starring Chekhov's heroes. These are the faces of the first performers in historical plays at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries; the most significant performances of the 40-60s and 70-90s of the 20th century; as well as in performances of the first two decades of the 21st century
