It is a comedy series set in the high-tech gold rush of modern Silicon Valley, where the people most qualified to succeed are the least capable of handling success. The story is familiar for creator Mike Judge, who worked as an engineer in Silicon Valley in the late 1980s, before moving to TV and achieving success with Beavis and Butt-head.
