  1. Computational intelligence

    Berlin : Springer, 2011.

The present book includes a set of selected extended papers from the first International Joint Conference on Computational Intelligence (IJCCI 2009), held in Madeira, Portugal, from 5 to 7 October 2009. The conference was composed by three co-located conferences: The International Conference on Fuzzy Computation (ICFC), the International Conference on Evolutionary Computation (ICEC), and the International Conference on Neural Computation (ICNC). Recent progresses in scientific developments and applications in these three areas are reported in this book. IJCCI received 231 submissions, from 35 countries, in all continents. After a double blind paper review performed by the Program Committee, only 21 submissions were accepted as full papers and thus selected for oral presentation, leading to a full paper acceptance ratio of 9%. Additional papers were accepted as short papers and posters. A further selection was made after the Conference, based also on the assessment of presentation quality and audience interest, so that this book includes the extended and revised versions of the very best papers of IJCCI 2009. Commitment to high quality standards is a major concern of IJCCI that will be maintained in the next editions, considering not only the stringent paper acceptance ratios but also the quality of the program committee, keynote lectures, participation level and logistics. The present book includes a set of selected extended papers from the first International Joint Conference on Computational Intelligence (IJCCI 2009), held in Madeira, Portugal, from 5 to 7 October 2009. 2. Computational intelligence

    Cham : Springer, 2023.

This book includes a set of selected revised and extended versions of the best papers presented at the 13th International Joint Conference on Computational Intelligence (IJCCI 2021) held as an online event, from October 25 to 27, 2021. We focus on three outstanding fields of Computational Intelligence through the selected panel, namely: Evolutionary Computation, Fuzzy Computation, and Neural Computation. Besides presenting the recent advances of the selected areas, the book aims to aggregate new and innovative solutions for confirmed researchers and on the other hand to provide a source of information and/or inspiration for young interested researchers or learners in the ever-expanding and current field of Computational Intelligence. It constitutes a precious provision of knowledge for individual researchers as well as represent a valuable sustenance for collective use in academic libraries (of universities and engineering schools) relating innovative techniques in various fields of applications.

  3. Computational intelligence

New York : Nova Science Publishers, Inc., [2013]

Computational intelligence aims to emulate aspects of biological systems for developing software and/or hardware that learns and adapts. Such systems primarily include neural networks, fuzzy logic systems and evolutionary computation each of them including multiple active and fast growing research directions. This book presents new and ground-breaking research from world-renowned experts focusing on various topics related to computational intelligence. What makes this book particularly interesting is the variety of subjects attained, which offer a global perspective on this central research field in the Knowledge Age.
