  1. Mexican photograph albums, 1920-1976

    Five sets of photography which span nearly six decades of Mexican history. The collection captures various aspects of the era, including school room settings, government projects, nationalized petroleum production, and military training. Includes: 106 black-and-white photographs of Mexican president Luis Echeverría Álvarez, who was in office during a significant era of Mexico's Dirty War (1970 to 1976); a photo album of work done by the Secretary of Agriculture's water program in Baja California, Mexico; a photographic presentation of the construction of schools in Nayarit, put forth by the 1945 government program issued by Governor Gilberto Flores Muñoz, commemorating the projects completion/progress featuring an introduction explaining the construction of the schools written by Nicolás Echevarría Pérez; an album of photography of the Mexican petroleum company "El Aguila", featuring photos of work sites, workers, company outings, and other leisure activities glued in; and a photo album of young boys, most likely from a school in Tepotzotlan, which features photographs of 93 children glued to doubled pages with oval, square, and diamond designs highlighting the photos. Nearly all children have their names and ages written next to them in the first half of the book, whereas the rest bear no names and age. Included in a separate envelope labeled "Manuel Ortíz" are the photographs of 37 other children, each with a name written on the backside of the photograph.

  2. Stanford University photograph albums

    This collection consists of an album featuring images of Stanford University and photographs of the A.S.B. Board in 1936.

  3. Armando Alleva photograph albums, 1940-1941

    Alleva, Armando, 1881-

    Photographs and albums belonging to General Armando Alleva, Italian Inspector of Military Commissariat, 2nd Zone. Photos show the commemorations of the 61st Bakers Squad in Albania during the Greco-Italian War of 1940-1941; Alleva's trip to Albania and Montenegro in March to April, 1941; the aftermath of the Greek bombardment of Tirana and Durazzo; the cities of Alessio, Berati, Scutari, Peshkopia, Librashi, Antivari, Virpazai, Cettigne, and Bijeca; and studio portraits of Alleva and his family
