Positive systems : proceedings of the First Multidisciplinary International Symposium on Positive Systems, Theory and Applications (POSTA 2003), Rome, Italy, August 28-30, 2003
Berlin ; New York : Springer, c2003.This book contains the proceedings of the First Multidisciplinary International Symposium on Positive Systems Theory and Applications (POSTA 2003) held in Rome, Italy, on August 28-30, 2003. Positive Systems are systems in which the relevant variables assume nonnegative values. These systems are quite common in applications where variables represent positive quantities such as populations, goods, money, time, data packets flowing in a network, densities of chemical species, probabilities etc. The aim of the symposium was to join together researchers working in the different areas related to positive systems such as telecommunications, economy, biomedicine, chemistry and physics in order to provide a multidisciplinary forum where they have the opportunity to exchange ideas and compare results in a unifying framework.

Positive systems : proceedings of the second Multidisciplinary International Symposium on Positive Systems: Theory and Applications (POSTA 06), Grenoble, France, Aug. 30-31, Sept. 1, 2006
Berlin ; New York : Springer, c2006.Positive Systems are dynamic systems in which the relevant variables assume nonnegative values. These systems are quite common in applications where variables represent positive quantities such as populations, consumption of goods, densities of chemical species, probabilities etc. The development of theoretical models which take into account this positivity requirement has been a very active field of research for a long time. This volume contains the contributions for The Second Multidisciplinary Symposium on Positive Systems:Theory and Applications (POSTA06) held in Grenoble, France, August 30-31 and September 1, 2006. Theses contributions cover several theoretical issues (stability, control properties, ...) concerning the models of positive systems as well as many application papers in the fields of biology, communication systems, etc.
