("The Oakland Traction Co. operated one car today under heavy guard. Some rioting occurred in which four persons are reported shot. President Wilson is dangerously sick at the White House... One of the key route trains manned by scab strike breakers last evening ran down and killed 5 and hurt 2 more. The crew went right on and now are being looked for for arrest.") It also includes a wealth of information pertaining to the shipbuiding industry of the area, the comings and goings of the Fleet ("President Wilson sailed on the steamer George Washington formerly a north German Lloyd Liner" - 5/24/19 -- "The concrete ship "Palo Alto' was launched from the San Francisco Ship Building Company yards"), etc.
