  1. Ruth Lynn Wong : photograph album, undated

    Wong, Ruth Lynn
    [San Francisco] : [Ruth L. Wong], [n.d.]

Photograph album of Chinese and Chinese-Americans in California, apparently assembled by Wong, once secretary of the Chinese YWCA in San Francisco. She was also known as “Jade Lotus,” the second older sister of Jade Snow (Wong), author of the classic autobiography, “Fifth Chinese Daughter.” Photos depict the home and social lives of Chinese-Americans with other Chinese as well as with Caucasians. Ruth graduated from Mills, so there may be photographs taken there and/or of classmates. Includes a snapshot of the graves of Wong’s mother and of her sister Kathleen (who died at age of one month).
