Using the Art & Architecture Library

Access and circulation policies

The Art & Architecture Library reading room and stacks are open to all, including the public (with appropriate visitor's pass). Stanford students, faculty, and staff, as well as graduate students and faculty with UC Reciprocal Services Program cards, may borrow materials from the library. In-house use of materials and access to the stacks is available to other users who have a Courtesy Card, Courtesy Pass, or fee-based card issued by the Green Library Privileges Desk. Contact the Privileges Desk at Green Library ((650) 723-1492) for information on obtaining a Courtesy Pass (which enables the general public to access the Stanford University Libraries free of charge up to seven times per year) or a fee-based privileges card.

Books are subject to recall after one week if requested by another user. Renewal of loans is permitted if no holds or recalls have been placed on those items.

For circulation information regarding the Visual Resource Center's slide collection, please see the VRC page.
