Beyond100: A Celebration for Cecil H. Green Library

On Monday, July 15, 2019 over 400 friends, staff and alumni joined us in celebrating the 1919 opening of the university's first freestanding main university library, now known as Cecil H. Green Library. Event festivities included a BBQ lunch, speeches by University Librarian and Vice Provost Michael Keller, Deputy University Librarian Mimi Calter and Stanford undergraduate Sani Eskinazi as well as a mini treasure show of Jane Lathrop Stanford's papers and docent led tours of the David Rumsey Map Center and "Leonardo's Library," the exhibit currently on display in the Munger Rotunda.
