Archives works with CS faculty to create collection of white papers for NSF summit
The University Archives recently collaborated with faculty in the Computer Science Dept. to create a collection in the Stanford Digital Repository of white papers for an upcoming NSF summit on the future of computer science education.
The collection of white papers represents a new type of collection building undertaken by the University Archives, one where we proactively work with faculty to archive their intellectual output during the period of creation to ensure long-term preservation. This type of ongoing colloboration is especially important given the study reported today where evaluation of more than 500 randomly selected studies showed that 20 years after publication, 80% of their original scientific data had vanished.
