Road & Track Project Archivist Hired

January 29, 2014

The Manuscripts Division is excited to announce that David Krah has been hired as the Road & Track Project Archivist.

David has processed multiple collections at the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, Engineering Archives, including records, photographs, and drawings documenting the San Francisco drinking water system. Previously he worked as an archivist in the Special Collections Department at the University of California, San Francisco, where he processed the papers of geneticist Ira Herskowitz and the organizational records of Larry Crooks' Radiologic Imaging Laboratory. David holds a BA in English from San Francisco State University and an MLIS from San Jose State University.

In his new role, David will manage the processing of circa 400 linear feet of records from the Road & Track Society, including magazines, business records, and an extensive set of subject files for individual automobiles. He will also work closely with Revs project staff to capture metadata for future digitization efforts. The project will begin on February 3, 2014 and run until March 2015.  Please join me in welcoming David to SUL.
