The East Asia Library will extend its opening hours for Fall Quarter.  Beginning on Tuesday, Sep. 8, the library will be open from 12:00 - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.  Appointments are required and can be made from the My Account page.

Visiting the East Asia Library

The East Asia Library is open for all Stanford ID cardholders, including faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, and staff. Please make an appointment on the My Account page prior to visiting the East Asia Library.  To expedite their visit, users can page available materials to the circulation desk before coming to the library.

Prior to visiting the library, users are required to complete the COVID-19 Hygiene Best Practices, EHS-2470-WEB in STARS.  Users must also use the Stanford Health Check Tool before coming to campus, on each day that they intend to visit the library.  Please follow the guidance provided by the Stanford Health Check Tool and do not come to campus if you feel sick or unwell.

When visiting the library, users should be prepared to show:

  • their Health Check status for that day
  • their current Stanford University ID card
  • their appointment confirmation

While in the library, visitors must wear face coverings at all time, and adhere to social distancing guidelines (remaining 6 feet apart from other individuals).

Elevator repair status

As of September 9th, the elevator repairs have been completed and elevator access has been restored. An access card is needed to use the elevator, which can be obtained from the circulation desk.
