The Preservation department manages the long-term preservation of library collections for use in teaching, research, digital projects, and exhibitions around the world through the integrated work of two units:
Manages preventive preservation activities, collection emergency response program, preservation education and the production-level care and shelf preparation of circulating collections.
Provides conservation treatment, exhibit loan support, assessments, training, and consultation.
Workflows and procedures for Stanford affiliates are available on Consul.
