The Preservation department manages the long-term preservation of library collections for use in teaching, research, digital projects, and exhibitions around the world through the integrated work of two units:

Collection Care

Manages preventive preservation activities, collection emergency response program, preservation education and the production-level care and shelf preparation of circulating collections.

Conservation Services

Provides conservation treatment, exhibit loan support, assessments, training, and consultation.
