Comparing and Annotating Images with Mirador for Research

This workshop provides an introduction to Mirador, a new tool for comparing and analysing large images and image collections from multiple institutions. It will also introduce the International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF), a new technical standard that underpins tools like Mirador. The session covers IIIF and research materials available through this standard, and how to use Mirador to import, collect, and analyse these new collections across repositories. If time permits, we will also cover how Mirador can be used to share comparisons, materials, and annotations over the web. Some familiarity with HTML and web publishing may be helpful, but is not required.
