Professor Pai Hsien-yung, Wei Lun Professor of Humanities at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and world renowned writer, playwright, and producer of Kunqu opera, will give two lectures on "Honglou meng" 《紅樓夢》at Stanford.  This is the first lecture.  There will also be a screening of the documentary of his life and work on October 23 in the East Asia Library (event details here).
