Come join us for an online workshop on databases: what they are, what types of databases are available at Stanford Libraries, and how to choose a database most appropriate for your research goal. All students, researchers, and staff are welcome, whether this is your first research project, or you just need a refresher.
 
In this session, we'll cover:
 
1. What is a database, and how does it differ from Google Scholar
2. Categories of databases (searchable news sources;  subject specific article databases; image, audio, and video databases)
3. Tips for searching in commonly used databases.
