Open House from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PMBook Talk at 3:00 PM: “The Private Press Movement: An Introduction to Kelmscott, Doves and Ashendene Press”
Sophie Schneideman specializes in the Art of the Book, book illustration, private presses, fine binding, fine printing and livres d’artistes, particularly of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. She has been an international rare book and print dealer for over 30 years. The focus of her talk will be selected Kelmscott, Doves, and Aschendene works that are in Stanford’s extensive collections. These books will be on display during the Open House.
