The East Asia Library offers a variety of different study spaces, including large group tables, comfortable chairs for reading, computer workstations, individual study carrels, and group study rooms. Our study areas, located on the eastern and western sides of the second and third floors, are open, spacious, and well illuminated with plenty of natural light.

  1. 2nd floor East-West study areas: Six large group study tables (four seats each); one small group study table (two seats); 14 soft seats
  2. 3rd floor East-West study areas: Two large group study tables (four seats each); one small group study table (two seats); 12 study carrels; 10 soft seats
  3. 3rd floor group study rooms: Two large group study rooms 324 and 327 (10-12 people each); one small group study room 329 (four to six people); served on a first come first served basis; can also be reserved for meetings here

Equipment available at the library includes three Macs on 2nd floor and eight Macs on 3rd floor, a microfilm-scanner, two print release stations (one on each floor), a photocopier, a scanner station, a Chinese PC station, a Japanese PC station, and a Korean PC station. Digital camera can be checked out at the circulation desk.
