Using the Music Library

Loan periods:

  • Books, scores, bound journals : Academic quarter for all students
  • CDs and DVDs : 28 days
  • Limited Loan (M2 - M3) :7 days for graduate students and faculty
  • Reserves : 4 hours, unless otherwise noted
  • Offsite storage: loan periods vary

Pay bills online, or at Green Library.

Lost items: in lieu of a replacement fee, the Music Library may accept a replacement copy of an item approved by Jerry McBride, Head, Music Library & Archive of Recorded Sound.

Suggest the purchase of a recording, score or book.

Equipment includes kiosks, a copy/print/scan station and a microfilm scanner (public access); and Mac clusters with extensive software offerings and a large-format color flatbed scanner (SUNeT ID required)

Visitor information: fee-based borrower cards,  wireless access services, permission to photograph and film in the SUL libraries.

Food is not permitted in the Library.  Drinks are OK. Please be careful.
