Florence Flood Exhibit at the American Bookbinders' Museum

Are you a librarian, archivist, museum specialist, or other kind of information professional? On Tuesday, November 29, from 6-8pm, The American Bookbinders Museum is having a reception just for you in order to share our exhibit on the Florence Flood of 1966, entitled BOOKS AND MUD: THE DROWNED LIBRARIES OF FLORENCE.

If you haven't done so already, you may want take a stroll to Green Library and see the latest exhibit, Stanford Stories from the Archives. The exhibition features letters, photographs, publications, objects, and ephemera that show the evolution and unique aspects of student life on the Farm. Details of the exhibit was featured in the November 18th issue of Stanford News, "Green Library exhibition highlights 125 years of student life at Stanford."

The primary exhibit and three satellite exhibits are mounted in Green Library and the Arrillaga Alumni Center. An online version of the exhibition is also available.

Bicycle Image.

Staff are reminded that bike parking is available outside or near all library buildings, and that P&TS makes bike storage lockers available in many places on campus.

For information on how to obtain a locker or access to a bike cage.  Bikes should be parked in bike racks, and not brought inside library spaces.
