The Stanford University Press, a division of the Libraries, has issued its Fall 2015 catalog. Alongside various academic imprints and series, the recently launched Redwood Press publishes intellectually stimulating books written for a trade audience, spanning a variety of topics in an array of diverse voices and styles. Issuing its first catalog in 1926, the Press has a long and proud history of publication with recent emphases on the humanities and social sciences.

The recently released New Media Consortium Horizon Report > 2015 Library Edition "...examines key trends, significant challenges, and important developments in technology for their impact on academic and research libraries worldwide." SUL's own Mimi Calter participated on the NMC Expert Panel that selected the six trends, six challenges, and six technology developments that are covered in the Report.

We are excited to announce the arrival of Ryan Perkins as the new South Asian Studies Librarian. Ryan, who starts September 8, has the challenge of creating a new collecting area at SUL that focuses on the region that includes the countries of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka.
