SUL’s very own, Heidi Lerner, Metadata Librarian for Hebraica and Judaica, is the recipient of this year’s Association of Jewish Libraries (AJL) Life Membership Award. The AJL award is granted in recognition of outstanding leadership and professional contributions to the Association and to the profession of Jewish librarianship. The awards committee noted Heidi's longtime involvement in the profession as well as the many important contributions on Hebraica/Judaica cataloging matters that she’s made.

Heidi’s work at SUL began about twenty-five years ago, and her supervisors concur that this is a well-deserved honor to a fabulous person!

Congratulations, Heidi!

The Association of Jewish Libraries is an affiliate of the American Library Association and the American Theological Library Association.

Congratulations on your achievement! It's great to see your dedication recognized. Just wondering if you also lead hikes for AJL meetings??
Warm regards,
Hi Carol, Thank you for your lovely words. I would not say exactly that I lead hikes but I do head a small group of librarians for an early morning walk (5:00 or 6:00 depending on locale). In my jaded youth it was an early morning run but that alas has gone by the wayside. Warmly, Heidi
Congratulations! You deserve this for all your hard work.
Congratulations on your award and recognition, Heidi! You are such an amazing person, friend and intellect! I am so very proud and happy for you!
