Donor Spotlight: Book Traditions in China and Japan


The Gunst Memorial Library of the Book Arts provided Stanford’s oldest Chinese and Japanese books and manuscripts, presented here in a photo essay and in a preliminary study by Joshua Capitanio of an exceptionally rare and fragile 13th-century woodblock-printed Sutra.
